Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 9 September 2026
These terms apply when you ask FAFF IT OFF to provide a service. FAFF IT OFF is a trading name used by Nickie Brown, a sole trader. You can contact us through Contact the Faffer, by email at hello@faffitoff.co.uk, or by post at 52 Challenger Drive, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN5 7RY.
1. Asking for a quote
Sending an enquiry, completing a form or uploading files is a request for a quote only. It does not oblige you to buy anything and does not oblige us to accept the job. We may ask questions, request different files or decline work. A quote will describe the agreed scope, price, assumptions, expected turnaround and any payment requirements.
2. When a contract is formed
A contract is formed when you accept our quote and, where the quote requires payment before work starts, we receive that payment. The accepted quote, these Terms & Conditions and any expressly incorporated job-specific terms form the agreement between us.
3. Prices, payment and changes
Prices are fixed for the scope described in the quote. Unless the quote says otherwise, payment is due before work starts. FAFF IT OFF is not currently VAT registered, so VAT is not added. If you change the brief, provide materially different files or ask for additional work, we may pause the job and provide a revised or additional quote before continuing.
4. Turnaround and delivery
Our normal target is 2–3 working days unless the quote says otherwise. Any specific delivery date or time will be stated in the quote. Turnaround depends on receiving the information, files, approvals and payment reasonably needed to do the job. If something outside our reasonable control affects delivery, we will tell you as soon as reasonably practicable.
5. What you must provide
You are responsible for giving us accurate instructions and the material reasonably needed to perform the work. You must have the right to provide and authorise us to use any files, content, intellectual property or personal data you send. Please follow our File & Data Rules and do not send prohibited or unusually sensitive information unless we have expressly agreed in advance that we can accept it.
6. Our standard of work
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms removes or restricts rights that the law says cannot be excluded. We quality-check completed work, but you remain responsible for checking the final deliverable before relying on it for important decisions, publishing it, sending it to third parties or using it in a live business process.
7. Revisions and mistakes
If we have made a mistake against the agreed brief, we will correct it without additional charge. Where a job involves subjective judgement, the quote may include a reasonable revision round. A request that changes the agreed scope, inputs or purpose is additional work and may require a further quote.
8. Consumer cancellation rights
If you are acting as a consumer and enter into a contract with us at a distance, you will normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask us to start the service during that 14-day period, we will ask you for the express request and acknowledgement required by law before starting. If you then cancel after work has begun, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to cancellation. If the service is fully performed during the cancellation period after the legally required request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may be lost.
To cancel, tell us clearly that you wish to cancel by using Contact the Faffer, emailing hello@faffitoff.co.uk or writing to the postal address above. You may use the following wording if useful: “I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following service: [service]. Ordered on: [date]. Name: [name]. Address: [address]. Date: [date].”
These cancellation provisions do not affect your other statutory rights if a service is faulty, not provided with reasonable care and skill, or not supplied as agreed.
9. Refunds
Your statutory rights apply in full. Outside those rights, we do not promise a refund merely because you change your mind after chargeable work has properly started. If we cannot provide an agreed service, we will refund amounts paid for the part we cannot provide. Where appropriate, we may first offer to correct or repeat work that does not match the agreed brief.
10. Prohibited and unsuitable work
We will not knowingly undertake illegal or fraudulent work, impersonation, fake official documents, academic cheating, scams or spam, unauthorised access or password/security bypass, unlawful use of personal data, or regulated professional advice presented as if it were our own regulated advice. We may decline any other work we cannot perform safely, lawfully, ethically or reliably.
11. Intellectual property
You keep ownership of material you provide. You give us permission to use it only as reasonably necessary to assess, quote and perform the job. Unless the quote says otherwise, once you have paid in full you may use the bespoke deliverable we create for the purpose for which it was supplied. Third-party materials, fonts, software, templates, stock assets and other licensed content remain subject to their own licences and ownership rights.
12. Confidentiality and data
We will treat non-public customer material as confidential and use it only as reasonably necessary to provide the service, operate the business, protect our legal rights or comply with law. Our Privacy Policy and File & Data Rules explain how personal information and uploaded files are handled. Where we process personal data on a business customer’s documented instructions, our Data Processing Terms apply where required.
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability where the law does not allow us to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or applicable statutory consumer rights. We are not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate, incomplete or unlawful material supplied by you, by your failure to follow instructions or check a deliverable, or by use of a deliverable for a purpose outside the agreed brief. For business customers, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
14. Events outside reasonable control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as serious service outages, hosting failures, power or communications failures, illness, cyber incidents affecting third-party providers, or other events we could not reasonably prevent. We will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption and keep you informed.
15. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please use Contact the Faffer or email hello@faffitoff.co.uk with the job details. We will try to resolve complaints promptly and fairly.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms for future jobs. The version that applies to your job is the version in force when the contract is formed, unless we agree a change with you.
17. Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not remove mandatory protections you have under the law where you live or any right you have to bring proceedings in a court available to you under applicable consumer law.
